You can search around for which version (leak/official) that users are reporting best overall performance. This is the latest one i've found you can give it a go if you wish Leaked OS 10.1.0.4285 for the BlackBerry Q10 | CrackBerry.com

Which version of the Q10 do you have? 100-3?

I had the same problem for a few days after the update (on 2 Q10s). Went away on its own after a few recharge cycles.

yes, Its the 100-3, I dont trust leaked versions to be honest, that why i was waiting to update on the official . but its painful as am not able to use the phone properly .

thought about it , but not sure wiping will help as i beleive its related to software . truing different battery will see how it goes

I updated to this last week and having no problems. My battery is probably lasting a little bit longer. Maybe try to wipe and reinstall

I updated both my devices through official ota Vodafone Italy on Wednesday (Z10 .2312 and Q10 .2309) and both of them seem to be discharging quicker than before and getting hotter. As has been noted, it can settle down given a couple of days so that's what I'm going to do for now before resorting to going anywhere near the horrendous beady that is BlackBerry Link

Of the other 10+ threads about 10.1.0.2309 upgrade and battery life and heat, everyone has said the heat and unusually fast battery drain resolves itself.

Here's a few of the many threads about it and with people saying it goes away in a couple of days:

Am on Q10 with .2312 and yes it's discharging faster as compared to previous versions. Still enough to get through a business day - Hope there will be a revision to have this improved.

I have the same problem for the first time today. Had my phone about 2 weeks. No updates on software however. I checked and there is one available but will not download until I hear that it's NOT a software issue or a 'version' of the software that is a problem. I'll be patient and see if it resolves itself. Battery ran to bottom 2 times today. No unusual usage and very little internet data usage. Light work day. Hmmm. Hope to hear more news...

Following up my post of 26th June, I found by the 28th battery drain had settled down and since then it's been back to normal, even a little better than previously.
