My Q10 is now behaving badly, as though the power button has become extremely sensitive and is getting pressed without me actually touching it. As in, it goes to the black shutdown-countdown screen without me pressing the button, and then eventually turns off on its own, even though I try to break it out of there. Or it starts the screen reader, as though I had pressed the power button three times---and then shuts down. It often starts cycling through the reboot unpredictably, then comes back up again, only to fail back into the shutdown cycle.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is the phone about to be toast?

Check to make sure your battery is good and tight ,if not shove a piece of paper in to tighten it up,

I had already read about and applied the paper trick, but it didn't help (although the battery mysteriously showed more power afterwards, so it might have helped something else!).

However, what I've done is open up the top camera housing and done the old mainstay: squirt compressed gas from a can into the power button bits. (Never be without a compressed gas can!) It seems to have returned to life without rebooting again, but we'll see. Maybe it's time for me to buy a spare housing, or even a whole phone? I have my old Bold 9700 I suppose.
