Suppose the screen will be turned on when the power button is pressed, right? But sometimes there is no response when I press the power button and I need to hold the power button to restart the Q10. Any solutions?

Do you have the device set to allow gestures while locked/screen is off?

Did you try hitting any of the keys on the left-hand side of the keyboard? I've noticed those turn the screen on.

Allow Gestures when locked is ON...

I had it for around a week.

Are you running any side loaded apps or Skype? It could be hung from software if there is a misbehaving app on it. If not software, just get it replaced.

Does the phone wake up when you swipe up from the bottom if the power button doesn't work?

If you've had it for a week, and nothing works, I'd suggest exchanging it. In addition to getting a new phone out of the deal, you'd be able to really see if it's a software glitch from an app that's not working properly, or if it was a hardware issue.
