    Another Q10, another issue.

Out of curiosity, how many have had issues with the Power Button at the top of the Q10?

Whilst overseas, of course where and when else when there is no service as carriers are loathe to service a phone that is not their phone, the power button went. Meaning the phone switched itself off, and then of course, I could not turn on the phone . . .

Luckily I brought the back up Z. Mind you, since the last OS upgrade the Z is buggy to say the least.

How did you manage that ? Even with a bad drop I can't see how to manage to break it ! Bad luck !

When you say it turned itself off, are you saying the screen timed out and it is now locked? Or, the phone won't power on?

If the phone is powered on but you can't unlock it via the power button, you could try plugging it in then unlocking it. When the phone is unlocked you can then set the option to swipe up to unlock to enabled. It's a work around for now until you can get if fixed.

No, no drop - new and babied.

No, I noticed that whenever I pressed the button to sleep/power off the screen, the phone itself more and more often powered down. Not even the option to cancel the process. Finally, the phone just did not even turn on.

So, can not even do a work around. One carrier was kind enough, after much much haranguing, to diagnose the issue. However would not repair.

As an aside, you could use Swipe to Wake + the official case which puts the phone to sleep when inserted. Don't have to touch the power button at all.

Can be a water problem. Power off your phone, pull out the battery, and without any USB cable plugged in, place the top near a light bulb for the night.

Nope. I am likely failing to properly explain. The phone was dead. That is unable to turn on, after it last went off.

That is when I put it in the suitcase until I was in a country that could at least provide some guidance. At the carrier's service centre, where the refused to repair as it was not one of their own phones, they ran a diagnostic. That is why I know what is the issue. Phone is dead until I have have repaired by an authorised repair centre or replaced by my carrier.

I was just curious to know if others have had the same issue.
