Hey there. I have a Blackberry Q10 that won't turn on after being dropped in a lake (it's been a week after that incident.) It refuses to turn on, and only flashes a yellow light very rapidly when I plug it in (it doesn't matter if I have the battery in it) and it doesn't show any lights at all when it's not plugged in. Blackberry Link doesn't recognize it at all, and neither does an Autoloader I downloaded for the device. I'm not sure what else I should do. Thanks.

If you dropped it in a lake, mostly like it's done, the internals must be fried.

Aw, really? That sucks. I thought there was a glimmer of hope with the yellow led flashing. What should I do with it, then?

If its one week, all the inside of your q10 must be rusted.

    Bad news...

Try another battery and see how that goes...but, most definitely your phone is gone.

I'm sorry for your loss, bro...

But, did you try putting the phone in a jar full of rice?

Do you think that any other phone would survive the ordeal you have described?

    Like barisxpeace said,

Did you put it inside a jar of rice? Usually, when phones are dropped in water, you have to take out the battery immediately. DO NOT try to power it on. That's when you risk frying your internals.

Rice should soak up most, if not all the moisture.

It's already in rice, and I'm probably going to be keeping it in rice for a hefty bit of time (it's not like it's gonna hurt.).

If you didn't take the battery out right away and dry it out completely before turning it on again then it is most likely done. From your description there is likely not much that can be done.

Dropped my old curve 9320 in a hot tub but working like new after an immediate battery pull and 1 week in the rice bag.

Time for a new phone OP. Luckily the phone you were using is relatively cheap on Amazon.

Sorry for your loss BTW. I would be crying if I dropped my phone into a body of water. It's the reason why I always bring along a phone I don't care about when it comes to doing things like being at a lake or something else like that.
