    just received Q10 have backed up my bold to blackberry desktop then downloaded link for the q10 ready to make the switch over...................... shock it wont pick up the q10!! the computer makes the beep noise to say its picking up something on the usb but then says not connected (this only happens with the q10) if it would pick it up all i would have to do it switch devices from desktop!!! i have un-installed link and then installed again but still no luck, any suggestions welcome ;-) xx

    I did this from a Curve 9360 but I did it all from the link program. Use link to back up your data from your old phone then plug in the new one to complete the installation. I was not clear if you were using the old BB desktop to back up the phone but it all should be done from Link.

    If you have OS 7 you can use an SD card for the transfer instead, see Device Transfer.
