    What should I do to get the headphones to work properly other than take it for repair or ask for replacement? That will be like last resort.

    These are my problems.

    1. I can hear the other side loud and clear but the other side can't hear me at all.
    2. When I pull the headphone out of the jack (to continue to talk keeping the phone to my ear) the call gets disconnected.
    3. Long pressing the call/answer button on the headphone does nothing.

    I've done the following already, in vain.

    I pushed the jack so tight that it locked securely. No doubt about that.
    I enabled and disabled TTY and hearing aid setting and restarted. No difference.
    Tried other headsets. While one of them seemed work correctly the result is not consistent.

    It's a brand new Q10 received couple of days ago. Made in Mexico Year of manufacture 2014. Model SQN 100-3. Already updated to latest 10.2.1.2977. If that helps.

    Sounds like it needs replacing. If it's brand new there has to be a defect.
