I have an older Q10 on Verizon and other than a new keyboard it has been flawless all these years. I have come across a new-in-box Q10 AT&T that Verizon will not allow on their network. If I want to use the "new" hardware can I just swap out the motherboard from the Verizon unit or are there other things I need to swap?
Having briefly reviewed a tear-down of the phone for reference purposes I'd say it looks likely you can do the swap you proposed. The motherboard appears to be a complete comm board as well as the system board. I can't say this definitely, but I'd be surprised if a swap wouldn't work. Phone manufacturers design their internals for just this sort of flexibility -- so they can mass produce as many universally compatible parts as possible for the phone, with just one or two parts to swap out for different carrier configurations.
It may be possible, but I've seen threads where people are having difficulty with Verizon activating Q10s because they are "no longer supported". So make sure VZW will allow you to activate it before you go through the trouble.

I've swapped out a Z10 MB to another Z10 chassis and was successful on a network here in Canada but that was ages ago. I see no problem with the Q10 other than DallinCrump's post.
Thanks - my current one is active on Verizon - just looking ahead as I could have all new hardware (except the motherboard) - I won't give up my BB10 without a fight
I just recently did exactly what your talking about. Had a q10 with a broken screen. Took the mother board out of it and put it into another q10 I had. I've been into that phone a few times so it's super easy for me to do now. I just watched the videos and followed the steps the first time. Wasn't hard to do.
Took one apart and removed the motherboard and swapped in my old MB and everything works. Nice to have a brand new phone with the exact same feel and setup as before. Been a few months now.
I have a q10 where I completely took apart a white and black version and swaped the bezels to make it look like a 9900. Not a difficult process just have to be careful with the pins on the board.
