Check the video. He shows an SQN100-1 card, and then the phone identifies as SQN100-3 in the settings. Maybe BlackBerry just includes all the cards, -1 goes on top...

SH!T Looks like Telus is selling the SQN100-1 based on the pictured associated with the unboxing video on the home page of Crackberry...the Telus website says Band IV HSPA support, which the SQN100-1 is not supposed to have, let's see what Bell gives me tomorrow...

On the close-up picture of the Q10 with its back cover off, you can see that it's submodel RFL111LW. That matches to SQN100-1, so it looks like that's the Telus model. That shouldn't come as a big surprise though, as that exactly matches the the Z10 model that Telus sells. I would venture a guess and say that Bell will have the same model, but time will tell.

I just picked up my Rogers Q10 and asked about roaming on LTE in the USA . Their system had two Q10 SKU for the Q10, one marked for USA. I guess this means there will be a choice if you spend a lot of the time in the USA roaming and want LTE. The unit i received was a SQN100-3.

Got mine from Rogers today, confirming that it is a SQN100-3.

Seems like Rogers have 2 different skus in their system but are for the most part pushing the SQN100-3 model since it supports the 2600 frequency that they are making a big deal about.

Not sure how you would go about getting the other model, probaly some special request. I talked to a Rogers rep and they have been instructed to ask if the customer will be travelling to the US. I'll have to talk to a friend that works at Rogers to see what their stock levels of each model is at. My guess would be major city centers are getting more of the SQN100-3 since Rogers is running the 2600 band. It will be interesting to see how things play out over the next few weeks.

So far everyone has either had a SQN100-1 (Bell/Telus) or SQN100-3 (Rogers/Fido). Is there anyone out there with the SQN100-5?

For the SQN100-2, AT&T may only be partially potentially compatible. Even though VZ and AT&T use the same band for LTE, they don't use the same band blocks. RIM went with not making the VZ STL100-4 compatible with AT&T's LTE, so they may choose to do the same with the Q10 -2.

I agree the SQN100-2 is kind of irrelevant in Canada as that one is all about Verizon. The SQN100-1 and SQN100-3 are both in Canada and well documented. The SQN100-5 is MIA...

Looking at the bands, -5 may be carried by just the AWS HSPA+ networks. So up in your neck of the woods, that would be WIND, Mobilicity, Videotron. I think your big three chose not to carry it just so people wouldn't be buying -5s from them, getting them unlocked, and taking them to other compatible networks. This may also explain why Rogers "officially" went with the -3, while Bell "officially" went with the -1 (Telus did not have the luxury of having a LTE 2600 network, so they too went with the -1.) Pretty stupid really, but that's the only theory I got lol.

Meant to say the stores only have sqn100-3, but rogers customer service has the other one which in their system shows up as RIMNUS, rather than RIMN which is SQN100-3. Now I have to get store to accept the return then order from customer service and wait for it to be shipped!

If I were getting this phone unlocked, outright and I lived in North America I would not want any other model than the SQN100-5...it has the most relevant HSPA and LTE bands of all the variants...

Totally agree. If you are looking to use this with AT&T and want the appropriate LTE and HSPA bands this is the one to grab. I am trying to get one as I type, but haven't had much luck yet.

Model -1 was the version approved by the FCC, presumably for AT&T. Model -5 isn't a requirement.

Makes sense. Looks like 5 can be used with T-mobile or AT&T, while 1 should have not issue with AT&T since it is only missing the 1700 HSPA band that AT&T does not use.

If you look at the Telus website, they have just changed it. It used to show Band IV AWS support for HSPA and now they have removed it...so it looks like WIND will be getting that version in two weeks (as the store told me today)...

Well at least this gives us an indication there isn't a hidden AWS band in the SQN100-1 as there supposedly is in the RFF91LW STL100-3.
