I'm using a blackberry Q10. Upgraded with the OS. I have my HP laptop with windows 8. (latest version)

I'm trying to create a mobile Hotspot and connect via laptop.

Yes I can create a HotSpot using my BB. Yes it can be searched through laptop WIFI too. But when I try to connect, it drops and can't even find the connection again.

I tried my desktop with a wifi adapter. Still can't login. I feel there may be a security incompatibility. Anyone knows about this issue?

NB: My laptop can be connected to other hotspots(Android).

Who is your service provider, is MBHS included in your data plan, and is it enabled/turned on?

I have a Q10 and a Windows 8/8.1 laptop, I don't have a problem connecting my laptop to my phone (and accessing the internet on my laptop), but MBHS is included in my data plan with T-mobile USA.

IMO, this is part of why so many folks "downgrade" to Windows 7.

    Won't touch Windows 8 with a ten-foot pole.

No problem with the hotspot on my Q10. Use it all the time. But you do have to have it as part of your plan with your provider.
