    hello everyone,

my phone does not start anymore.
connecting via cable there is a loop:

    1. red LED for 5 seconds
    2. yellow LED flashes for some milliseconds
    3. LED off for a second, then continuing with 1.

it seems to restart every few seconds...

is it possible that there is water inside the phone?

    greets
    ewalluation
(sorry if this is a repost - i posted already but cannot find my previous post)

Generally that is a charging issue.... if the phone possible got wet, remove the battery and let it dry out. After a few days you can reinsert the battery and allow it to charge. But many times the damage is done.

If the phone didn't get wet... try different charger, cable and possible replace the battery.

    Thanks!
I tried different cables and charger... no difference..
I think that it could got wet because my little daughter has bitten on it just before it crashed.
Anyway it seems that she did something destructive to the phone^^

So i dried it with hot air for a while... nothing happens..
If i put the battery inside the phone, the same loop continues but step 2) with the yellow LED lasts longer (maybe few seconds) Maybe it is an informative value...

Further possible fixes i found somewhere on the net were:
    - charging with more powerful charger (but how can i give it more power?)
    and another advice was:
    - reload the firmware via blackberry link (but it is disconnecting every few seconds, so it doesn't work)

If it's been bitten, take the battery out, and examine it carefully for damage. If all looks ok try placing it down on a truly flat surface (glass tabletop is perfect) to see it it is bulging or deformed. A physically damaged lithium battery should be disposed of immediately.

In the past when dampness is suspected for non operational phones people suggested placing the phone in (dry) rice for several days to absorb moisture. I have not tried this but the rice apparently absorbs H20.
