I have the z10 and my wife has a q10 and I have been comparing the two.

I love the feel of her q10 but the screen is dim compared to the z10 screen. Is that normal? I am considering getting a q10 but I am trying to compare the two as much as I can.

I have both and depending on the context they both have their pros/cons. When I'm outside the Z10 is much better LCD vs. OLED, but the Q10 dark theme is way better at night.

The OLED looks dimmer as the OLED screen doesn't produces whites as bright as the LCD on the Z10.

But the Q10 produces Black more better then that of the Z10. This is most seen when viewing a darker background

Also the Q10 produces more "rich" deep and vibrient color, and this can be seen a lot when viewing videos and images on the phone compared to the Z10.

The LCD screen on the Z10, because of the better bright white color it produces..outside the Z10 is more viewable then then Q10. But by no means the Q10 is not viewable outside..its just that the Z10 is a bit more better.

Both has its ups and downs. Hope I helped

Yeah it's dim coming from a 9900 but I found after a couple of weeks I don't notice it.

I tried living with the dimness of a Q10 (I've owned a Torch 9810, a Bold 9900, and a Z10) for a few months, and couldn't deal with it. Had to sell it

The brightness difference between the Q10 and Z10 is not minimal, in fact, the difference in terms of brightness between the two devices is...massive.

However, I've gotten over the comparison between both devices and while I do enjoy the super bright screen of the Z, I also enjoy the nice vibrant colors of the Q. I would have liked the Q's screen to be a bit more bright but it's fine as it is, and I don't have any issues with it.
