    ok so ive been reading for a while now and its had me scared, that if you crack your screen on a bb10 device the touch functionality will be gone. well i was at a xmas party this year and ran into a friend who had a cracked screen on a q10, and it worked just fine. The video isnt the best cause i had a few drinks but this screen is beyond cracked its pretty destroyed and still works fine.

    It looked like a big scratch! Well thankfully it still works

    That's great (y) My friend dropped her Z10 and the crack was in the middle of the screen... The rest of the screen above the crack didn't work

    This is because the Z10 uses a screen technology which combines the glass of the screen with the digitizer.

    That is only an issue on the Z10 due to the touch on lense tech employed. The touch sensitive part is fused to the glass rather than on or in the actual display. The q10 uses in-cell touch tech which doesn't have that issue

    I broke the screen on my Q last summer when I got tossed off my motorcycle...grrrrrrrrr My Q did not work with a cracked screen. But I did get it repaired/replaced for $130.00 so all is good.
