I do question what to do down the road. I have used the Curve 8350 and the Bold 9650 in the past. And I still have these devices. I am a Q10 user now, and I do love this phone. I have thought of getting the Classic, since I do miss the track pad and the buttons for answering, or ending a phone call. But it just seems this is another Q10 with the track pad and all. ????

Basically, you're right. We DO know that the Classic will have a larger screen than the Q10 (3.5" over 3.1"--significant).

As for the rest of the device spec, we don't know yet. PERSONALLY, I think it will represent an improvement over the Q10 for performance, but I wouldn't expect miracles. If you're happy with the Q10's performance, I'm sure you'll like the Classic.

Certainly the performance should be improved I think, but there is not much room for improvement in my opinion. But, then I guess once it is out there shall be alot of people checking the phone out. With the track pad is there hopefully not going to be anymore of the swiping since this is lousy. Of course this is my opinion, others may disagree on this.

Yeah, I am almost think from Q10 to Classic there won't be much need to upgrade unless you need a new device. If the Q10 is working fine, hold what you got.

It does work great, and looks brand new after over a year. I again do dislike having to swipe, or edit something also.

from leak HW spec, yes, the core HW almost same as current Q10.
I am a Q10 user now, definitely, I will update to passport due to higher HW spec.

Does anyone know if the swiping will be eliminated on the Classic, or is this still involved? Curious on this certainly. Will stay with the Q10 certainly, if I do swipe.

BlackBerry 10 on the classic will work exactly like BlackBerry 10 on all the other BlackBerry 10 devices, the only difference is you'll also have the tool belt buttons. So, yes, the swiping will be exactly the same as it is now.

Well thank you and we shall see the released phone one day. But it does look as if I stay with the Q10 then. Thanks.

Unless there is a major difference between the two devices I would tend to stick with the Q10.

I don't get it. How are these comparisons between the Q10 and the classic even arguable?

Compare the first iphone to the current gen. They look pretty much the same except for the size of the screen and the backing. Nothings really changed.

You get a bigger screen with the classic, the utility belt and of course, whether we know the specs or not, they will be higher end.

There is no indication right now that the Classic will have any better spec than the Q10. Sorry.

If anything, the little info that's leaked so far indicates that it will be quite comparable, but more affordable.

The larger screen is attractive. I am guessing that it will be amoled? I want to go back to the physical keyboard. I have tried the Q10 three times but prefer the LCD on my Z10 better. But I did love the Q10 too. Gorgeous phone and screams BlackBerry. Will wait and see.

The Classic is basically the Q10 version the community wanted:
People complained about the lack of a trackpad, especially for text editing.
People wanted to have an even larger display, back around the month the Q10 got released it quickly seemed like 3.5" would be the sweet spot.
Last but not least, for whatever reasons, a lot of people had problems answering and especially ending calls, they wanted their buttons back.

Now BB kept the classic Bold form factor, they gave in and added the trackpad back to the hardware. The screen got increased to 3.5". Last but not least the toolbelt with those hardware buttons is back. So all in all most wishes and complains about the Q10 got reworked with the Classic.

I sure would also like to see a bump in terms of hardware, I even thought they'd at least bring it up to Z30 level. Since there has only been one leak, I still have a small hope there might be some surprises in for Classic. However if the price is right and just a tad higher than current Q10 prices, I'd still buy it. If it would be another 500 bucks modell, I'll pass.

I really loved my Bold 9900 and it is faster to use. But we're talking a second or two faster, not minutes.
With OS10.2.1, the Q10 became a great phone and with the exception of a couple of issues (that will be resolved with 10.3.1) I'm totally happy and hard-core Apple user that is now a fan of BlackBerry's Q10 (so long as I don't have to deal with tech support in the Philippines).

Hardware end and making call buttons are what I want in the classic, and I will get.

I hate so called "all touch" phones and I have managed to avoid them for years. Even Q10 (my first "smart" phone ever) requires too much swiping and poking with finger (aka finger f*'ing your phone)
If I upgrade, I'll look at Passport first but it is probably too big to have it comfortably in ones pocket.
Classic looks really interesting but I usually do not change my phone before it's broken.

You could end up swiping just as much or even more so then on the Q10 with the passport. Why not the Classic since it has all the physical buttons? I wouldn't be surprised if they threw the cool touch sensitive buttons on the Classic as well.

I'll stay with my Q.. Coming from a 9900. With the Q10, I really don't miss the "toolbar". The OS works perfectly without it..

I wonder how heavy the Classic will be. I think the Q10 is a heavy phone, I would prefer a little less weight.

I don't think I'll be migrating to the classic when it comes out. Loving the Q10 since I got it last month. Perfect PB. I don't miss the 9900 trackpad.

Ah, but the Passport is another matter. But I'll probably wait for 2015 for prices to stabilize for the Passport.
