Q10 camera stopped working today. I get only rainbow coloured lines. It kinda looks like lines when TV stations would stop broadcasting at night (dating myself).
The front facing camera works fine.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Perhaps the camera is damaged? Maybe it's a software problem? I hate to recommend reloading the software, but you might wanna try that if the camera seems dead. If problems persist, you may wanna have the device replaced.

I think I've seen some people ask about this before and if I remember correctly, some people have said it could be due to Android apps.
Do you use any Android apps like SnapChat that use the camera?

Hmm. Never heard of third-party apps causing the camera to be fabulous. I only heard that it sometimes gives the message saying "Camera can't be started.".

I'm sure I've seen it somewhere else on these forums that some Android Apps can make the camera not show properly.

When I have time I will reload os. It's my backup. I like my q5 better.

I took the q10 apart. The ribbon cord connecting the camera to the main board was unplugged. Snapped it back into place and it works like a charm again!
Thanks for the help everyone.

Please what ribbon. I am currently experiencing the same issue. This started ,again, though after upgrading the OS to the latest. I am on Rogers.
Azum4u if you take phone apart, lots of guides on youtube, you will see its the only ribbon that connects main camera to the phones main board.
If it stopped working same time as software update however, I wonder if you have a different issue.
Also q10 is not the easiest phone I have taken apart, I call it low to medium. So if your going to take it apart be careful, watch the guide at least twice before you do
