9780 still trumped it for battery life though.

Not best keyboard?

Agree that it's not the best OS, and definitely doesn't have the best screen. The OS is getting there, and the principles of it are great, but it needs more features and polish. The screen is good again, but not the best.

Really? I got over 36 hrs on a single charge with pretty heavy use out of my Q10.

From recent days even my 9320 made batter than 36 hrs... not talking about other, older devices...

(for the record, I am indeed happy with the battery life of my Q10)

I think so. I got the Z10 first, used it alone for over two months. Then I got the Q10, and the Q10 just feels right for me. Such good battery life, all the greatness of BB10, plus that famous keyboard. I'll be happy with the Q10 for a very long time, though I still put my sim in my Z10 once a week and use it for a day or two at a time.

The Q10 does what I need a device to do the best. I enjoyed my Z10, but I never felt comfortable with the virtual keyboard.
I probably typed quicker because of the high ratio of swypes vs typing, after a while. But the Qwerty keyboard is tops in my opinion. It's not just the speed, it's also about the experience. Much more accurate and satisfying.
