I'll definitely be interested in the Q20 if that's what it's going to look like. I know some people don't want a Q phone that's any bigger than what we have, but I wouldn't mind a tad bigger. I have big hands anyway.
I don't know if the Q10 is the best BB10 phone yet, since I haven't tried the Z30. But I did try the Z10, and I prefer the Q10 so far. If I get the stuttering keyboard problem, I'll eat my words, no doubt. I do think BlackBerry needs to do more to tailor BB10 to the capabilities of the Q devices, but I think that'll come in time.
For example, we have a keyboard; we ought to be able to use it to wake the device up, instead of, or in addition to, the swipe gesture. On legacy BBOS, we were able to use 'k' to put the phone to sleep, although if memory serves they took that away in OS7. Still, I like to put the phone to sleep as I put it in my pocket. The power button on top is awkward. With a keyboard, there's no good reason not to have a key for that.
On my Z10, I used to keep the swipe to unlock turned off, to save battery power. Since this feature requires the screen to be "live" all the time, it does draw power. I haven't yet had to turn this off on the Q10, since the Q10 battery is bigger than the Z10's. Even so, a keypress to take me to the lock screen would require no power. On legacy devices, any keypress would do this; I'd settle for a dedicated key option.
These are minor issues, though. I'm enjoying the Q10, and I have all the apps I want, except one. The Android apps from Snap work fine, with the exception of Words With Friends, which works semi-fine. No big deal. I play WWF with one friend; we've been playing for almost two years and we just make a couple of moves a day. This is a tiny fraction of my Q10 use, and the fact that it's not beautiful on the Q10 screen is inconsequential.
