Up until now my Q10 has worked great.

I haven't changed a thing other than a BBM update yesterday.

I have 2 mail accounts, FB and Twitter (I uninstalled and re-installed FB and twitter)

when i look the last 48 hours my CPU usage runs less than 5% still the middle of the night last night and now its running at averaging 79% and my PIM services are running from 30-70%.

    What is going on.

I have read a bunch of the threads and have uninstalled and re-installed what have been deemd to possibly be culprit accounts.

Does anyone else have any thoughts.

I don't really want to uninstalled and re-install my main email account as i have 5500 contacts and i don't want to go through the whole repopulating of that again if i don't have too.

    Help anyone, please.

Well you could load a new OS but do a back up first with link, if you do leaks try the 2947 it's great on my Q10, if you don't want to do that still do a back up and try a security wipe and then restore using link.

Why would I have to load a new OS when this one was working fine till yesterday?

Why would that all of the sudden be the issue?

    I'm running 10.2.1.2141

I'm just saying, you don't have to but the reviews on the 2947 leak is really good and plays very nice with android, it's just a suggestion as I load every new leak.

Ok, so i have never loaded a leak on BB10. I used to do it years ago on my other devices.

Is there a forum or a list of instructions somewhere that shows me how to do it?

back up phone via BB link
down load auto loader file (correct one for your device)
    unzip file that you downloaded
    close BB link
plug phone into pc and click on exe file that was made from unzipping
it will start to load and you will get a green LED showing you that its being done takes a few min have a coffee
unplug the device when the loader window closes and your device will restart automatically
then you can restore via BB link if you wish.
below is the link to the newest leak that is really good.

After I made some adjustments in my contact lists, (telephone numbers,e-mail addresses, link- unlinked contacts) I noticed a spike in PIM-usage of up to 107%. So I just decided to leave it for awhile and monitor battery usage and since then it has dropped to more normal levels. So my guess is that the syncing of changes across several platforms (caused by the linking of contacts) across several address books is what's causing the issue. But the good thing is, it tapers off after awhile, so don't panic.

how long did it take for it to settle down? I'm heading out of town and i'm a bit concerned that my phone will die on the road. I was thinking about just waiting it out too.

Thanks, I think i will wait till i get back from my trip but i'm going to give this a try.

I've been wanting to try the leaks as i used too but didn't feel as confident on my Q 10. I knew how to fix everything with desktop manager if i screwed it up before.

If for some reason i screw it up, can you go back and get the old OS from my provider (Rogers)?
