How long does the stock OEM battery last? Mine is about 9 mos. old. Have a spare just in case. Generally get about 2-3 days usage, with powering down at night. Restart in am.

I've got two different batteries (one came with the charging bundle)!

One of the two is substantially better than the other one (about 20% more juice)! Seems like the production has good days and bad days!

I got 4 days out of my q10 by skimming out stuff I don't need.
Down to 2 email accounts,1 work and 1 personal that only updates manually.
Set all non priority BBM channels/contacts to 1 vibration with lock screen notification and no sound or LED.
Turned off sounds and LED for Facebook to lock screen notifications only. No way to turn off auto sync for Facebook unfortunately.
    I don't install android apks.
Went into Application Permissions and disabled auto sync for all unnecessary apps.
Disabled NFC, Wifi, location, and Bluetooth (though I do enable it for headset and PlayBook). 4g eats up a lot of juice but I need it and can't manually switch to 3g on Verizon q10

I disabled a lot of sounds, notifications and features, but I got 4 days out the Q10

I can't believe this. My battery lasts about 24 hours, give or take depending on usage.
Not even in the first week I couldn't make it last more than 2 days.
It was a majour disappointment for me really, coming from the bold 9900 on a bis subscription the Q10 was obviously more power hungry.

Can you please give us more info what you have active on your phone? How many email providers you have setup and do you use BBM, whatsapp, Viber .... ? any led apps like hub++ or bebuzz? Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Dropbox, Box are any of these configured?

Or maybe you keep it with data set to off? What's the point of a smartphone this way?

I posted just one above you,but to be more specific

2 email accounts, 1 work 1personal. The personal email is set to manual refresh only.
BBM LED/sounds are enabled for work contacts/groups. Personal BBM contacts/grounds are set to vibrate only(1 vibration) and LED/sounds are disabled.
1 dropbox account. No Box account.
Facebook set to lockscreen notifications only, LED and sounds are disabled.
NFC,location, mobile hotspot and wifi disabled.
    CB10 auto refresh disabled.
    No apks installed.
    Text messages LED is disabled.

Basically all sounds, notifications, auto refresh and LED disabled for all apps.
As for phone calls, it's set to a mono toned mass effect ringtone and no vibration.

I can't make it through a work-day without leaving the Q10 plugged in for at least a portion of the day. And I've woken up to a dead Q10 on a few mornings I forgot to plug it in overnight.

This is in startling contrast with the Torch 9810, which easily made it through 2 days without requiring a charge, and that's with typical usage. Both phones have:

Accuweather, BBM (moderate use), Blizzard Authenticator, the same 4 email accounts auto-checking hourly (one of them syncing contacts with gmail), wifi enabled, bluetooth (and NFC) disabled, brightness set to minimum, audio alerts off (LED only).

It amazes me to see the battery life some people get on their Q10s; it makes me wonder if it's something to do with my usage patterns,or if I have a crappy battery.

Again, the battery-life difference between the Q10 and the 9810 is startling.

Sgosh, I nearly have the same applications working on my Q10 as you have. The only difference is that I have two e-mail accounts which are synced every 30 minutes. Yet, I still manage to squeeze about 1 1/2 days out of the battery. I carry another 2 spares with me because I do travel a fair bit and I don't like to ask clients whether I can charge my phone in their offices.
