    I'm looking forward to this device. Seems like a very good next step in the evolution. My question is about the battery door material. Is it the same as the 9930? Just wondering about scuffing and whatnot. My 9930 battery cover is very soft and marred up quickly. But then the device is a very early one. I don't know if they solved the scuffing problem in later production. Does anyone know anything about this?

    No scuffing on my 9900 but regardless this is a new material they are using on the Q10. I just hope it is not slippery feeling. I like the rubbery feeling black Z10 back much better than the plastic back of the white model. The back is more important on the Q10 because users tend not to use the type of cases that touch phone users have that protect the unit somewhat when it is dropped.

    they call it a glass weave. looks more like a combination of carbon fiber and glass fiber

    My Bold 9900 has many scratches and scuffs on the back as well as a spider web crack. I take very good care of my phone; the rest of it is in mint condition! I really hope that the back of the Q10 has a different coating over the glass weave because whatever is on the 9900 is unacceptable.

    Isn't the material the same as the material under the plastic coating on the 9900? It sure looks similar to me.

    Yes it's similar in appearance with that carbon fiber look, but the Q10 uses a different, new material for its glass weave batt cover.

    You are correct. It is NOT the same as the 9900's back cover.
