So I got about 10 hours on my phone with wifi the whole time, light surfing. My friends and other users have reported much better battery lives. I am wondering if it has anything to do with some of my settings? I have 1 fb account, 1 twitter account and 1 email which I cancelled push and sync to 2hours intervals. I just feel that I should be able to get more from the battery. Any one can help?

Network / Signal Coverage?
Set to LTE? Switch to 3G and try.
Any apps? Side loaded?
Location Services - Off?

Even when on 3G my battery is worse than a 6 month old iphone 5 and like twice as worse. My signal is 4-5 bars. Ah! I shall check my location settings thanks

I just switched to the Q10 from a Lumia 928 so I have the ability to swap out batteries during the day. I don't believe any smartphone battery will last a long day with heavy use.

I read a post from a user who said she got 42 hours?!? With 2G or wifi depending on what she needed and I'm just WOW I can't even get > 10 you know!

In my experience with Q10:
On 3g, I lose about 8-10% every hour...
On 2g, is about 5%, so u can get 20 hours...
I dont believe somebody can have battery for 40 hours...sure you can, if you leave Q10 on a table and you wont use all day long
I am a heavy user, but I expected a lot better battery, because its 2100 and smaller amoled display...I am really disapointed..
