    Hi Everyone

I've gone through 2 different Q10's, and I noticed that the copying the phone number from the call history screen is simply not possible with this phone. Does anyone else also experience this issue? The option is available when you LONG press the phone number in the call history, but it does not copy over. For example, try copying the number in the history and pasting it into the notes app

    Thanks for your help!

I went to try this to prove you wrong.

But you aren't. It didn't bloody work.

It pasted the previous clipboard contents.

    Wth?

I DO remember this being an issue... but I just tried it, and it worked perfectly... I'm just upgraded to .2156/.2228, so maybe it has been fixed?

    OS version?

I just tried it, and it works flawlessly for me.
Can copy and paste the number anywhere from the call dialer, to search, to notes.
    Running 10.2.1.2102 on my Q10.

    BlackBerry 10 signed.

This is the ONE reason that prevents me from committing to this phone. As a avid GTD user, this phone is crucial for my everyday business...and copy / paste is ESSENTIAL. I wonder if it may have been fixed with 10.2 perhaps??? not sure..you would think such a feature would be important for business conscious folks buying this phone

If someone could test this, I would really appreciate it. Please be sure to copy the number from the CALL HISTORY screen and see if it pastes the number into the notes app

    thx again!

.2102 on the Q10, works here, it always has for as far back as I can remember. The issue is that copying is a bit dodgy with BB10, once you select the copy icon and a copy bar pops out the side, you have to slide your thumb/finger out close to that blue line or on top of the copy icon that pops out before it copies. This has always been like this and I've grown used to it.

What I know doesn't work is being able to edit numbers copied from call history, or anywhere else, into the dialer app from the middle or the beginning for such things as changing the country code.

Honestly, I have tried to press it in every which way possible, and I cannot get it to work. you would think pressing the copy icon and having it disappear after pressing....one would assume that it has copied.

I have trying angling my thumb in every direction, and I cannot get it to work.

It just pastes whatever I may have previously copied at whatever time... Whether it be another text, email, etc. It's as if I never copied the number in the first place... Extremly frustrating.... I cannot trust the phone to legitimately copy a phone number upon request

I'm on Verizon 10.1 and can copy and paste phone#s from call history with no troubles. My frustration is not being able to dial them from the calendar event screen unless they're entered into the "location" line when scheduling.

Sorry to go off track, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for me. I wonder if the phone number format is an issue? See Screenshot below. No location set, but I can dial by touching the phone number or by using the "join now" button.

As for copying from call history, that seems to work as expected.

Sorry guys but this has to be user error unless you are on a really old OS and maybe it's wasn't possible then. Long press on the number and slide your finger over to the side menu to copy. Like this: (please stop giving misinformation)

Do you long press the number, and slide your finger over while the number is still longpressed ? ..or do you long press...release, and then go to the side menu?? Strange that Im definately not the only one that cannot seem to figure it out

Both ways work for me. Try sliding over without removing your finger and see what that does.

Here's pictures of the 2 step process (removing finger)

Interesting aside: if I post in the Title field of a Remember note, it works.

If I post in the Additional Notes field, I get the old clipboard data.

What OS are you on? Clearly it's a very old version where this wasn't possible (don't remember that being an issue) or yes it's user error.
What are you doing to try and copy a number? It is misinformation because it's clearly a feature of the OS as I showed in pictures above. And I already see one post in here with someone saying this is the reason they won't purchase a bb10 device. So yes, it's misinformation because you are incorrect and misleading people who are here to research BB10 as an option.
