I have found the music sound quality worse and worse as the Bolds get newer. Is there a way to change the EQ on the Q10? Its sounds really poor, especially the louder it goes, which was not the case going back two BlackBerry Bolds or more. Pls help.

Yes it is ok, and the one before was even better. The Q10 is not.

Maybe it's the headphones or earbuds being used? I found the q10 sounds better than the 9900 I had. That was one thing I hated about the 9900. It's do-able on this BlackBerry.

The actual music quality is fine on my Q10, but the native media player is not. There is an app in BB World called Neutron MP that a lot of people like a lot.

The other nice thing about Neutron MP is it will display all your album artwork, unlike the stock player.

I like the app, but all the EQ settings baffle me - not an audiophile - I just leave everything set in the middle LOL.

Thank goodness for Neutron though. Even though it's an extra five dollars it's worth it. There's barely any sound substance in the stock music player, even with audio boost. I remember audio boost rattling my cars rear mirror on the older Bolds.

Same. I always make sure I have songs that are high in bit rate.

I think its very good, check your music source and use another earphone more better than the attached. when i compared it with my ipod classic, it's surprised me!

I find the quality of the Q10 really good, in streaming and playing music. The equalizer with the 10.3.0.1154 Update was a welcomed addition since I loved that option on my Bold 9900.

I've read how happy everyone is with Neutron as compared to the stock music player so I bought it. Sounds the same to me! I have it set on the default setting. Am I doing something wrong?

Really? I love the sound on my q10! My husband has an htc and my speakers sound more crisp than his.

    Absolutely no issues here!!

I use the phone speakers, a cheapo brand bluetooth speaker I got at Target, Klipsch ear buds, Monster DNA on-ear headphones, Beats Studio Wireless headphones, and a Samsung HT soundbar via bluetooth.

Perfect sound on ALL devices. And Fyi, I have just over 2k songs on my San Disk 64gb SD card.
