    Hello everyone,

I have been amazed by the new Os that make my q10 even better.

But there is a little thing I would like to ask you: how I can copy a contact number and then send it via text. So far what I do is:
    Go to the contact list
    Open the contact
Click on the pen to edit
    Select the number, copy it
Open a text and paste the number I want to send via text.

Does anyone of you know a better and more efficient way to do this?

Thanks in advance for the support!

    Sabry

Start typing the contact you want to share to avoid tapping the contact list icon. And like they said "share" is your friend.

If you don't want to share all the contacts info there is an excellent app called smart contact that allows you to choose what info you share.

When you open the contact you want to share, hit the 3 dot more menu, select Share Contact, select (in your case) Text Messages, it sets up a compose text message so enter who you're sending it to, add a message and send. It's sent as a vCard (vcf file) which the person you sent it to can add it directly to their contacts (unless they're on a windows phone)

So basically no one can answer the OPs question about how to quickly share a contacts phone number only.

On bbos7, it was 2 clicks, and done. Way to go bb10.

Thanks a lot! I have tried to share via text but it actually turns to be an mms rather than a simple text. Is is normal?

Thanks so much for the precious support!

Alternatively you can dial the number and copy the number on call list
    - open contact, or phone app
    - choose contact, dial
    - end call
    - on call list, tap and hold the contact u just called
    - choose copy number

I don't think there's a faster way. Hopefully later they ll update it so we can copy the number within the contact app by just long tap the number.

MMS is used with anything beyond basic text, so yes it's normal. To answer your first question directly, nope, what you outlined is how you send just a telephone number, unless you use a third party app like waterfrontmgnt posted about.
