With older devices running OS7, you used to be able to put a phone number in a calendar event, and then later while viewing the event, the phone number would be underlined - it would be recognized as a phone number and you could tap it and dial the number straight from there. Is there a way to do this with OS10?

I just tried it - no deal, I'd forgotten you could do that in the Legacy devices. It was a nice little feature to have too.

This is a really bad oversight on BlackBerry's dev team, if it can't be made callable they should add a field or something.
This is one of the biggest let downs from bbos missing features

I just tested this -- it works on my Z10 running the 10.2.0.1047 leak.
I added a telephone number in the notes field of an appointment. It's in a blue font. Tapping that dials the number.
I don't recall doing this on previous BB 10 OS's, so I'm not sure if it's been specifically enabled in 10.2 only.
But, you should get that functionality when the official 10.2 releases. Almost everything from the leaks make it to the official releases.

Good to know I'm going to try it out too.

You can put the phone number in the location box or notes part and should be able to dial it no problem. However, you have to put the number in so it's recognized as a phone number so it must be separated by a - or a . For example 215.555.1212 but I can only speak for calling in the United States.

There is a calendar calling feature that is definitely missing though. On legacy devices you could put a conference call in your calendar that had a dial in number and a Passcode. Then when the appointment reminder alert went off, you would push "Join" and it would dial the number, then a short pause, the dial your Passcode for you and push # to send you in. I have conference calls throughout the day to different number with different PassCodes and really miss this option!

They number SHOULD also work if it is in the subject line but it doesn't. Even on 10.2..0.1047

Thanks...I thought I heard it would be in 10.2, but unfortunately I have to wait for official OS releases so who knows when I'll have it.

I can't speak to that. Even on OS7.x, I always put phone numbers in the notes field of appointments.
