With all the discussion we've had about double-typing and other keyboard issues on the Q10, I thought a poll would be useful. Please add details and comments in the thread after voting, especially if you've had problems.

Maybe 3 months is not enough. I've my Q10 since it get out (one, two years? I don't remember) and never got an issue. I touch the wood but for a hi-end phone (I think I payed it 600€ when I bought it (approximately 835USD)) I think 3 months is really a minimum of warranty.

Have owned Q10 for about 10 months. Purchased initially when new on the market. Not well documented for usage as I had not used a "smart phone" previously. There have been situations to deal with, but not insurmountable calling for patience on my part and others. I don't look for perfection only functionality.

I've had my Q10 since June last year and double typing issue has been occurring since the 10.2.1 update. The double-typing has now turned to TRIPLE-typing on some keys. No official apology or word from BlackBerry, they REALLY have got to get their sh** straight.

I won't edit the following. I have had my. Phone since. It's. Releaase and never had a problem. With it. Until lately. If i have to pinpoint a time thaat. It started doubke. Tyoping, tripletyping, inserting periods where i. Don't want them i would say it. Was. The 10.2.1 update. Now. The. Phoone is virtually unussaable for. Anything than. Short replies or messages as. It takes. To long to make corrections.
At this point in time I'm not ssure what i will do, i. May look into the. Samsung. Ggalaxy or wait for the. Q20. And hope. The build. Quality is better than the. 9700. (lightt leaks, creaky. Trackpad) and. The Q10 (this uncorrected message should make it obvious).

A 6 months old Q10 here.I do experience double typing but seriously I don't feel it's that big problem.For me that is.

Double typing started for me after 6 months of using the Q10. Tried security wipe, previous backup, etc. to no avail. Sent into retailer for repair three weeks ago, still waiting.

On my second Q10 - same issue with both. First one started double typing after approx 8 months. Second one after around 3 months. Incredibly frustrating.

I experienced two, three or a couple more occasions of double-typing one morning, I went "ouch, now I'm part of the party",
then it disappeared again.

Knock on a lot of wood, but I haven't had any typing issues. I have the latest Verizon updates, no rooting or anything complicated. Mine is white Q10 and I've had it for 2 months.

Black Q10, after a month, started double typing sporadically. Experienced no double typing on 10.1 but that's prolly because 10.2 quickly came about.

Maybe it might be helpful if people listed model and where their Q10 was made. The info is underneath the battery. (Remember to shutdown first!)

I've only had my Q10 for about two months. No problems with the keyboard. Mine is a refub unit from T-Mobile, which may mean the keyboard has been replaced recently, prior to me getting it (as someone suggested in another thread - "only internals are re-used").

I have the double typing issue with my Q10, it's nota. Always but it does happen from time to time. No edit from Q10. Seems like the letter a likes topop up once and a while and space bar doesn't always click. Or clicks twice.

I haven't had any issues with mine at all. I have the sprint model and have had it since mid-late march. And I'm constantly typing away!

Double typing started for me a few months ago. Buut I use the predictive Window whenever possible so I don't see it as often.

I just bought a new keyboard and will be changing it out myself when I get the time.

I guess you have to be on a desktop/laptop to see the poll, or at least not on CB10 or Tapatalk. I hope those who couldn't see it will come back later, so we can get more numbers. At the moment, about 45% of respondents have reported problems at some point. That's a very high number, but the sample size is still very small.

Also the number is probably skewed because the title attracts people who have encountered the issue.
The closest to a scientific finding would probably be best achieved if a mod were to move the poll to the home page with a title the likes of "Important Poll for Q10 owners".
Sadly, that is unlikely to occur.
