When I get a new notification I would like the screen to light up and give me a preview but I have to wake up the device before I can see what's come in. Can I change this?

I followed your directions and that option is not available under my lock screen notifications menu. Is that for 10.3? I have 10.2.

Still nothing there about turning on the screen for notifications. What am I missing?

I believe this is only a 10.3 feature... not sure why others are overlooking that lol. It will come soon though!

Not possible to light up screen as it would waste battery life, but you can always get a sneak peek from the HUB or from the lock screen.

Every phone I have ever had has lit up when a message comes in. If I wanted to save battery at the expense of utility I would turn it off!

Oh OK. I mentioned I have 10.2 previously. And yes it uses battery obviously but I would still like the option of my Q10 flashing my notification briefly so I can glance at it when I'm in a meeting. My iPhone 5s could do that.

It actually is possible. Used to have an app from Shao for OS7.0 models as I used it only for text messages.

The option is there in the lock screen settings on 10.3, can't remember for 10.2 but the catch is you have to allow lock screen notifications first before you can turn on the turn on screen for new notifications which I don't want my screen to be interactive so that's why i have mine off but would love it i could get an app like I had in 7.0 to do this for text msgs only.

Well I guess this thread jinxed me. Now my lock screen notifications stopped working entirely. Yes, it's turned on through settings - security. I have turned it off, rebooted, turned it on, rebooted but no dice.

Any ideas? It's driving me nuts. I use it to glance and see what my next meeting is.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

None of that is supposed to affect the calendar though. My calendar still shows up which irks me and I have all notifications on lock screen to off.

As the post before mine says, it shouldn't affect the calendar. Go to calendar & check if all your entries are there.
Also, you can do a hard reset and it might iron out if it is a bug. Press & hold both volume keys until the phone reboots and you see the blue BlackBerry logo
