My Q10 is not auto capitalizing lower case i followed by a space to a capital I. This has worked automatically on all the other BlackBerries I have owned and it is really slowing down my typing on the wonderful Q10 keyboard. I have tried to add it to word substitution but that does not allow spaces to be entered. Does anyone else have this problem or am I just missing something very simple?

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have never had to switch this on before it was always built in to the OS, anyway I went into the settings and all available options areswitched on (auto Capitalise and Period Shortcut) but there is no option for capitalising an i.

Thank you for the reply. I have already tried to do that however it states 'You cannot enter a space' in the word substitution

FWIW, that feature works on my Z10. I do not find any special inputs settings to enable it.
    Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.2228

For example, when I type "here i " the "i" is capitalized.

You don't put spaces in there. Just type the i then go to the next section to replace and put an I

Yes I din't have the problem on my Z10 either. Or my Curve, Torch, Bold.... I think this may have happened after the last OS upgrade, as I just got my Q10 shortly before last OS upgrade.

Thank you, thank you , thank you!!! I thought I was losing my mind. Having always used BB since the trackwheel blueberry I would starting to seriously doubt my sanity. It worked, all is well with the world again I think it happened when I got the last OS upgrade but it seems like a step back to me...
