Hi does anyone know why there is a slot for ringtones and text tone notifications under each contact, yet when I set a song it doesn't play?? All other alerts work, phone call song, voicemail alert, facebook alert, text tone for ALL texts, but individual people do not work? Is there a fix for this or an upgrade being worked on to fix this, does anyone know anything about this or have the same problem as me. This is a huge issue for me because it's a big function in a phone. I text all day and never make calls. Please help!

I had a similar problem, turns out it was the OS I was running did not allow permissions for such things. Please check the OS you are running, and what phone it is on.

Hi, I have a BlackBerry Q10 and it's running 10.1.0.2030 it allows me to insert a song there, but it definitely doesn't play it. I googled and many others were having the same problem. It's for the text tones for an individual.

You might try the app ColorID. It might work for this.
