I am a new Q10 owner coming off a Blackberry 9930. I have not activated the device yet as I need to make sure that a couple of things work first. The device is currently plain vanilla with the latest support OS version 10.1.0.4828 as supported by Sprint. It is properly connected to my Wifi with no issues web browsing, doing Facebook, etc.

    I have a few questions:

    1. Whenever I try to access Blackberry World is shuts down immediately with error: "There was a connection problem. Blackberry World must close." I tried some workarounds like going into Games and accessing BB World this way but no luck, I always end up with the message above. I assume this is because the device is not activated on the Sprint network. Can anyone confirm this or provide a workaround?

    2. It is important to me that I get an Android version of Cisco Jabber IM to work on the phone. If anyone has experience getting one to work on a Sprint Q10 with the 10.1.0.4828 release level I am all ears. I tried upgrading the OS to 10.2.1.1928 but it did not work at all with the Sprint version of the Q10. I am willing to spend some time to get this work. I understand the apk to bar conversion process. I am hoping someone here as tried this before and can give me pointers as to which version works best, etc.

    3. Is there any leaked OS version for the Sprint Q10 out there that is confirmed working? Googling did not yield any confidence-inspiring results. Worst case, I will wait until 10.2.1 is released by Sprint hoping that the end of this month date is actually reliable...

Thanks in advance for any pointers. I am hopeful I can make this phone work for me.

I'm on sprint with .1925 I am using trillian for my IM needs. You can use the same apk as you would on an android device. Currently I download apks from amazon and 1mobile, no need to convert apk to bar anymore. I had Q10 with sprint since they launch day on their website and had no real issues with it other than the screen size being small

I'm using the current 10.1 Sprint OS and was able to successfully sideload Jabber from App Goodreader. There are a few different versions they have available. My version is 9.0.6.990. The screen view isn't perfect but it works well and is stable. It does not contain all the features from the full blown version. I'm waiting until Sprint releases 10.2 in a couple weeks to then download a newer Android version via Snap.

I've been rocking the Sprint Q10 for about 6 weeks now. I installed the 10.2 leak immediately and it's been flawless. I'm currently running .1925 using snap to download many Android apps with no issues. I have the citrix receiver Android version loaded with no issues at all and I would assume you would have no issues with your desired product download. I don't use Jabber or I would happily download and test drive for you. That being said, go ahead and load the leaked .1925 it's terrific. I haven't missed a beat and have NO issues except one and that's the AMEX app. Because of screen size, it locks down on page 2 and I've been unable to get past this page because I can't scroll in either direction. Hope this helps.

Stick it in the 9900's case if you had one, works fine for me.

THANK YOU. This q10 version in the thread linked above worked like a charm at least glance. The one I tried before hung during setup and had all kinds of other issues.

The Cisco Jabber IM 9.0.6.990 as found on 1mobile.com works perfectly so far. This is fantastic! My Blackberry World issue is resolved as well with the new OS.
