Thanks for the comparison. Looks like those ole Samsung's in the case will be collecting dust soon as Blackberry 10 launches.

Omg I can't wait to get the Q10 looking so much sexier then my current Z10, but Crappy deal if they switch the 2100mah battery to 1800mah...

Will the Q10 battery fit the Z10?

Loving my Z10 though I'd also like a Q10 but am waiting for BB to release the other 4 BB10 devices first.

It does say NS1, if I recall correctly the Z10 says that as well, although it does seem a bit shorter.

I think the final will have a 2100 mah battery. The fact that the dev c has a 1800 mah kinda makes me think this isn't the final build.

Like I said, we've seen different versions of the Q10 in pictures. Friends even told me they've seen them in the wild with covered backings on them. So it's possible the area of the phone is going through changes. Remember the Z10 had 1GB according to leaked specs, then was upped to 2GB before launch. Revisions are made.

I've handled the Q10 in person at the launch and you guys won't be disappointed. The software wasn't fully optimized for the Q10 though since they're still going through some changes there. I really liked the soft, glass-weave material on the back, but now I'm seeing pics out there of the similar dimpled backing to the Z10. I'm not sure which will be final. Hopefully we'll see within the next few weeks/months. Looking forward to receiving my Dev C to get a more extensive feel of BB10 on a pkb device.

Even if they drop to 1800 mAh, I think I might be able to get away with it because of the smaller screen and dark backgrounds to take advantage of the AMOLED display. Still hoping for 2100 though.

I'm a heavy power user and have yet to use a phone that can get past 7hrz on one charge, the Z10 currenty holds the record, on my heaviest days the Z10 Can't make it past 6hrz.. 2100mah on smaller screen was looking so attractive to me!

never thought Id say this, but there isnt enough screen real estate on the Q10 for the OS imo
I'm sure they are tweaking parts of the Z10 version to really optimize things for the form factor.

Hopefully. I find that the word suggestion bar and the icon row at the bottom of the screen are too big.

Z10 is LS1..the Q10 will remain as an NS1 and will be two different batteries (size shape) disappointing I know as I had the same ideas for swapping

I'm pretty sure the battery will be 2100 mah due to the fact there's lots of YouTube videos of blackberry reps saying it will have that battery size ect...

I am extremely glad that the Q10 is bigger than the 9900. I would have felt there wasn't enough progression or change if it stayed the same size. Must be Samsung's "make everything bigger" movement that has gotten me in this mind frame.

Since the Q10 is like a "traditional" Blackberry I sure hope they got some "old school" Blackberry developers on board to add what is Blackberry back into the Q10. Seems like the team for the Z10 forgot what made power users stay on BB, save for BBM.

I really hope that they don't chose to use the dimple backing for the final release of the Q10. Its not premium looking at all...why spend a year or two developing the glass weave back and abandon it for unknown reasons. Blackberry Bold 10 has to pull out all stops and make it as sophisticated as possible or else business users will be less likely to buy one. Btw where's the OP? Too many questions not enough answers.

Do you know if the Q10 has the ability to use the virtual keyboard as-well ? And if so, does it use the same word prediction style as the Z10? (ie: flip up words from keys). I haven't seen anything on forums to suggest this yet.

I like the idea that I can switch - I prefer using real keys but sometimes it's nice once in while to just use a touch screen keyboard.

    Thanks!

That would take up most the screen lol, and be pretty pointless imo, they designed the keyboard to be easier for one handing typing..

It's a candybar keyboard phone - so no. Virtual keyboards are only available for physical keyboard phones if the phone is a slider.

...I would have thought a full touch screen and larger screen would need a larger battery?
