Sounds like you'll enjoy the Q10 just fine :)
Bbm is available to iOS, Android, Windows phone 8 and all BBs

So let's say I get the q10 if I text someone will they still get it if they don't have BBM? Or if they text me back w/of BBM I won't receive it? So my contacts all have to get BBM to message me back and forth?
You can still use regular texts, sms. Inviting someone to bbm can be done by pin, text, email or nfc. You'll receive regular texts whether they have bbm or not.

Hi, I'd wait for the Classic to come out or buy the Q5 now - the Q10 for many of us has one problem - keyboard stuttering. For some reason you get double and even triples of letters when typing. It's my only complaint about the Q10. I'd probably not even upgrade to the Passport or Classic if it weren't for the stuttering on my keyboard. Other than that the Q10 is a dream smartphone :)

From what you said in this topic, you will really enjoy the Q10.
It is compact, it is powerful and is very easy to use after you get the hang of it.
Of course, the keyboard is majestic and the browser and navigation in general is top notch.
If you are missing a qwerty phone, but still want to be able to multitask, send emails, chatn and even enjoy media, this phone is more than enought.

IMO the Q10 is awesome but if I was you I'd look at Z30 yes Physical key is good but the Keyboard on Z30 is dam awesome. I think you may have hard time with the small Q10 screen.. else go for the Blackberry Classic coming out in few months

If contacts were saved on google account its as simple as adding account to the q10 and it populates and transfers all your contacts from google.
Once u got it,remember to use querty to move in dedicated BlackBerry apps like crackberry,twitter,etc..
It's awesome just put your finger in a letter and read posts one by one..i love it!
Also using search engine to call apps simply writing firsts letters of the app is fantastic...
The simplicity of BlackBerry 10 is the best.

I looked at the z30 but I still prefer the q10. My note2 screen is huge. I love using the physical keyboard that is what make the BB a rarity these days. Has anyone else had problems with their keyboards with the Q10? From reviews it's says it was the best from their previous models.
Alas, there is a "double typing" issue...
Some keys are sort of loose... after 2-6 months of intensive use, some words are written this way:
Hoow aare yoou (for example), as if the "o" and "a" became loose.
But not all the time and not all devices... Besides, there are "replacement keyboards" for 5-40 Euros/Dollars...
I won't say forget about the Q10...
I use one and have the "double typing" issue and I live with it... when I notice a letter written 2 times, I just type delete and go on!
:-)

I don't have double tap issue...

My note2 does the same thing or gets stuck. I really have hhard time with the virtual keyboard. I think I'm just over the huge phone craze I guess. I do like the 9900 model to but I don't want to upgrade my phone too often. So when I do get it I want to make sure the stuff on it is up to date and last a long time. Not to mention I take very good care of my phones. So I want a phone that can keep up. I'm sold on getting a blackberry it's just knowing which one and I do prefer a physical keyboard so that's a must! I seen so many models but I do love the size of q10. Idk this is where you all can help me. Because I don't understand the ttechnology behind phone just that the more GB means more storage space. I'm really new to blackberry devices. So I'm taking in everything you all say. It's helping me a lot. Thanks.
I am sure... if you get the Q10, you won't regret it! There is a review here... I'll try to find it... I'll post you a link!

Thanks I'll check it out
It was a nice review I am going to go this weekend and look at it. I am actually eexcited about trying it out. And I'm not one to get excited over a phone. I'm so over my humongous phone. It's about time for a change. I will be bugging you all when I'm trying to figure it out. Lol
Im pretty sure you will be as pleased as we are.
I work in a store that sell phones, and I drooled at the Q10 for months before being able to buy it. I went almost every lunchtime to the blackberry part of the store to play with the Q10 in exhibition. When I was finally able to buy mine, I knew the phone inside out lol.

Hahah. Yeah, I try to put my BlackBerry where I cannot see it at night or else I won't be sleeping. :D

OP have you considered the Classic that's due out by December?
Might suit you better as a business owner.
I'd hold off from the Q10 unless you are getting a really good deal on it.

My upgrade is coming up and I'll be trading my phone. But I think the Q10 is free. So it won't cost me much. Maybe just the shipping if they don't have it in the store.
You shouldn't listen to your friends and do what you want. If you want to try it out, give it a go and see how you like it. But to be honest, depending on where you are, you might not be able to find a working demo or even a demo in a store, so that might make it difficult. Since there is going to be some big news tomorrow coming from BBRY, you might be able to pick up a cheap(er) one on eBay or something within the next few weeks.
But from what you are describing, it sounds like you are perfect for BBRY. You are a communications person, so this is a great phone for you. It will take you a little bit to get used to it, but do not get frustrated because once you get everything set up and the know the OS a bit, you will love it. When people say that the OS is complicated, they haven't given it a real try (longer than 5 minutes). And when you have a gestures down (very simple), you will do this on any phone you pick up to realize that it's not the same.
Try and get your hands on a Q10 and let us know how you like it. With the 10.3 update coming (who knows when, but hopefully soon), it will make the phone and OS even better.
BlackBerry 10 is not complicated. If anything it is simpler than the legacy BlackBerry OS.

Q10 is available most stores in Canada, in the US however Shop.BlackBerry.com is usually the best means to get it in US off contract...but this means usually buying the phone outright but means no contract. Some carrier stores offer the phone too and usually with subsidized price or free on contract.
Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.3247
Yes they offer it 99.00 w/contract or 0 down paying 22.00 a month for it w/of contract. So we'll see.
