Well I can tell you that my Q10 is a tad snug but useable in the 99XX pouch, otherwise the Q10 sits in the 99XX pouch with all the right parts covered nicely. So the other way round the Q10 pouch may work for the 99XX if not just a tad too big.
9900 will fit in Q10 leather pocket. Not as snug as 9900 pocket, and 9900 will be a tad short in Q10 pocket.

OP - they look like they're in stock for $20 at the CrackBerry store in Canada. Labour day sale save an additional 20%, probably worth taking a look.

eBay worked for me when my 9900 case wore out. Think I paid $10 or so. The eBay one was an original with the red thread and the sewn-in magnets.
