This is true but whether or not it will hit the streets by year's end is another issue. I've seen the proto-type picture on either this forum or maybe the DEV forum a few weeks ago and it looked cool. Bigger than the 9810 with the squred off keyboard of the Q10. It looked nice but maybe a little balky-still look at the size of the other smartphones on the market. I have a 9810 and love it and before that a 9800 and before that regular smartphones (treos and Samsung Epixs) but I can't wait to get my hands on the Q10. No clue what it will be called but we already have the Z10/Q10/Q5 and the A10 coming out in Nov/Dec so that is 4 of the 5 or 6 models already (never heard of the Z5 on any forum) so a slider makes sense. Note that Engadget reported that BB/RIM had been awarded the patent on the portrait of the Qwerty slider BB10. They are usually right on target with their reporting. Anyway something to think about for the future.
