    Morning
Hoping for some help or advice. I have setup custom ring tones for my wife and son on my q10. These ring tones point to specific album music on my installed sd card. Every day for the past three days I have set these ringtones and by the next day the phone has reset them to the default ringtone.

Anyone else experienced this? Anyone have solutions? Rather maddening to have the option to point the ringtone file to stored music then have the phone reset it.

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

    Update: 10-13-13
Seems if one chooses a ringtone included in the main ringtones folder, the changes take (at least from yesterday to today). I wonder if charging the phone overnight somehow causes it to reset chosen ringtones from the sd card back to the on board memory...

Whenever I connect to BBLINK my custom ring tones go back to default setting. I stay away from Link.
Have you noticed this, or do you connect to BBLINK everyday.

Same deal on my z30. Seems to happen both randomly, and after any changes to defaults via Settings-Notifications. This, and the fact that I can't set custom tones for text messages has me really wondering if I made the wrong call by sticking with BB.

What u have found is that for the phone ring tone you can have on the SD card, but any of the notifications I find have to be on the device for them to stay.

Copy the ring tones to the device and you will probably never have an issue.

My custom tones have never changed on me, they got stored in a new folder under the devices "voice" folder to prevent the media player from seeing them and thinking they are songs.

Yes - I've noticed every time I connect to Link to backup my blackberry or sync music it resets the ring tones also custom settings for individual contacts. The ringtones are the default ones on the device, they aren't stored on SD. This is extremely irritating, has anyone come across a fix?

10.1.0.42????? Any plans to update to a newer OS (there are many threads on what the latest is and how to get them, even without side loading)? That by itself may solve your problem.
