I understand that when new hardware or a significant software upgrade --how much more so an entirely new platform running on new cutting edge hardware-- there will initially be a limited number of apps to go with it.
What I can't understand is why BlackBerry doesn't have their own apps ready to roll out before the device launch.
This is true of apps that many turn to such as BlackBerry News and all the more so of app that are essential to many such as BlackBerry Wallet.
Come on BlackBerry.

Agree with you for BlackBerry News. Loved that app and is the one I miss the most.

I can understand why they aren't available at launch of the device. The entire company was concerned with getting the device out first and foremost.

That can be said of luxuries. When BB "trains" us to depend on the unique encoding of an app like Wallet to hold login information etc.--doesn't it make sense that should be available upon release, or do they expect us to carry around two devices until they get around to it?
