    This is incorrect information, as anybody can download it in India region.

    Anybody can download it. But not use it. BB fones bought outside india will give error- this device is not authorised to use this service.
    And i am not claiming anything. This is the official reply of MMI to my query.

    I don't see what exactly that would prove? Why would MMI want to limit its customer base willingly?

    Hello,

    In response to your request, the following course of action has been provided.

    If you have any questions concerning this request, please reply to this email within the next three (3) business days.

    Details:
    BlackBerry Q10 - The customer is unable to use the "My Map India" application on the device.

    Resolution:
    Advised the customer that the restriction on the software was imposed by Map My India, not by BlackBerry, as stated in the press release. We have no say on what restrictions are imposed by a Third-Party company.

    Well this makes complete sense, why would BBRY want to restrict any third party app? I also don't understand why MMI has restriction. I think this response needs to go back to MMI.
