    Having a Q10 for 6 months now. Bought it from Maxis. Now having double typing issue and Maxis mentioned need to bring back phone to authorise service centre for BlackBerry. Anyone ever tried sending their Q10 for doubling typing issues in Malaysia and what was the actions taken to resolve the issues. Do share your experience as I'm planning to get mine to be send in.

    Warranty issues in the US are handled with great care and I was highly satisfied the times I had to return devices. Here they usually just replace the device with a refurbished unit.

    Hello there! I'm from Singapore but I can share my experience with you:

    1. First double type occurrence which happened 2 months after purchase , I sent to BlackBerry service center and they replaced the keyboard.

    Then, double type happened again with a faulty mic recorder and "random reboot" issue.

    2. BlackBerry service center gave me a replacement which I believe is not new (due to some scratches on the frame). This unit was working fine and then double typing happened again after 1 month. Adding to that, I had a loose space bar key on this unit.

    3. Finally, I sent to BlackBerry service center again and the technician decided to send my Q10 back to factory for inspection. After 3 weeks, they called me and decided to give me a new replacement (excluding battery and battery door).

    This new replacement worked fine in the beginning and I got this unit in February. But, the double typing is happening again, but it's mild compared to the older units which I returned. Now, I've got wacky "a" and "o" keys.

    I decided not to send for repair anymore because I personally feel there is no point. Making the trips, backing up and reloading the data is time consuming.

    I have a spare white Q10 which has the same problem. So, I really hope there will be some kind of software update which will kind of modify the key-rate, which is a better solution instead of changing keyboard againa and again.

    Im from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I bought my Q10 may last year with celcom. Had the double typing issue within 2-3 months.

    I sent the phone to blackberry service center in tropicana city mall.

    Got it back after 1 day issue resolved.

    They give excellent service. By the way if you send the phone in earlier during the day, they would have fixed it on the same day.

    Just send it in dont worry. Your Q10 has a 2 year warranty.

    Thanks all for the info. Yea I too went to Tropicana City Mall to check out the service center yesterday. They said most likely will be keypad replacement and mentioned mine is not severe.Well i guess we shouldn't even be suffering from it ...."Not Severe" !!!!. Suggest that may be should i hold on to it and used it for now....and can bring it in if the issues worsen.@Jonaong, based on your input, it doesn't really helps.....the double typing issues will just repeat itself ..whether with a new unit or a a new replacement keypad. Hope Blackberry hear us and all over issues and does something about it , as their quality with this roll out will hamper their ability to regain market share if this hardware issue added in to it ....

    Just tell them to fix it. They shouldn't say things like that. Just insist.

    Maybe you can give it a shot since your warranty is 2 years (and we paid for the device).

    You might be able to get a good replacement unit cos' there are users around the world who do not have this problem on their Q10.

    For myself, I think I can live with my double typing on my "a" and "o".

    Re occurring after 3 to 4 months after repair. If BlackBerry acknowledge this problem, they should come up with a improvement part, not keep changing the same part in which in time will still give the same problem.
