    The way I had my paper before was half under the battery and it would go around the top and the other half over the battery, similar to the post above (kinda like some remotes have something under the battery and a tab that comes out over the battery that you pull on to make it easier to remove the battery). maybe that would be easier for people than cutting it to fit, and it would be easier to replace.

    You never have to replace it. Once you cut the strip of tape and adhere it to the spot it stays permanently unless you peel it off. Mine has been there for well over 9 months.
