Is there a way of disabling the keyboard and track pad as to not have either turn the screen on while locked? This will kill battery life as I carry my phone in my back pocket and do not use any type of case with it.

I don't think it will "kill" your battery.... its only the numbers on the pad that turn on the screen... I've been pocketing mine with excellent battery life

Anything on the toolbelt will also turn it on. They should allow us to disable as an option.
