Howdy - Although I have nothing synced in settings with Facebook and removed seeing the FB contacts from my contact list, they seem to still be in my phone. An example would be when I compose a new email or text message and go to my contacts to pick, I still see all my Facebook contacts. Is there a way to remove this please?

    Thank You!

If you click and hold on the FB contacts you should see an option to Unlink the contacts.

Sorry, I meant to say click on the FB contacts and then when showing the contacts details you'll see the unlink botton on the bottom right of the screen.

Do you mean individually or is that a type of setting you are referring to?

Problem is they are not in my contact list except for when I want to write an email or text message and in that aspect you cannot edit the contact. I changed the settings so they dont show in my contact list. Unless you are saying to have them appear in my list and then individually unlink? That would be annoying but please let me know what you meant, thank you.

I had this issue with Facebook, LinkedIN, and twitter. I deleted all the apps and just use the browser. I don't need/want everyone of my social media contacts to be synced with my phone.

While setting Facebook app uncheck Find friends options AND then go to Contacts > Settings > Uncheck Facebook from the list. You should be good to go.

Marvel: I already did that with my contacts and I am not sure what the facebook setting and "find friends" you are talking about?

I have this same problem. I want to remove my facebook contacts from my contacts list, along with LinkedIn, so when I click on "All Contacts" it doesn't associate all these people with the list.

I have signed into LinkedIn and facebook, and turned the "find friends" setting off as suggested.

Problem is, I cannot seem to find where you're referring to in my Contacts > Settings > etc. In my contacts app, there is no "settings" where I can uncheck anything. Please clarify if you can. Thanks!

I had the same problem and had delete each one manually. Annoying but I don't want social media mixed with my phone.

has this issue been resolved? I hate that social media wants all up in my phone contacts. I'm never going to text or call Al Gore but there he is popping up on my phone.

The brains of crackberry must know a fix for this. You should be able to turn it off in settings but that doesn't work entirely..

I also had this issue, I removed the apps and just use the browser. App problems suck!
