I really love the BlackBerry os 10 and want to buy a q10 but after reading so much threads on double typing issue in its keyboard, I am quite afraid whether to buy this or not. I want to know that is there are some q10's which are working fine after 4-5 months of usage?? I really want to buy one, pls help me.

The double typing seems to be affecting the earlier released Q10's. I just replaced my keyboard was fairly easy to do. If you want a Q10 get one, it really is a good device.

If I were you I wouldn't make my purchasing decision off of others reviews. My Q10 is great, very rarely do I get the double typing issue, and even when I do its not much of a hassle.

The pros outweigh the cons in my opinion. Great device: great battery life / multitasking / form factor / keyboard. The dilemma should be, passport? Or Q10?

If you listened to reviews for your device, you might as well buy an iphone lol

I think I should go for the q5 because I have never heard any problem regarding its keyboard. But the camera of q5 is not good than q10. Dont know what to do now..

It is a scientifically proven fact that the bad word of mounth spreads way better than the good one. The same applies to the double typing issue. Of course people will want to share their disappointment and ask for a piece of advice, rather than those who have no issue will post that everything works fine after 6/12/18 months of usage. I have had no issues with my Q10 since I received it in the end of October last year. Before I got it, it was already in use for almost half a year. Therefore, thumbs up for getting a Q10!

The camera on the Q5 is fine, not as many megapix, but still a good camera. I can post some Q5 pix if you like, my daughter has one. I have a Q10, but I think I would be equally happy with the Q5. It has a more moden design. Got a red one for a friend through employee family discount, never thought I would like a red phone until I pulled it out of the box.

There have been many reports by fellow CrackBerry users who said their Q10s are working fine since day one. While there is without doubt a double-typing issue, it's too far stretched calling this an issue virtually every Q suffers from.

There's quite some price difference between the passport and the Q so that could be an argument...

And the Q is ultra portable compared to any other phone on the market. Whereas the passport is on the brink of proving itself to be truly portable

Who cares, if you don't get it you'll never experience the marvelous features, design and allure of the Q10. I had a Q10 for about a year before I switched carriers and had to give it up due to a stock issue. I never had the double typing issue or any issue for that matter. I Just rebought one and I couldn't be happier, if the double typing issue does find its way to my current Q10 I'll just figure it out when I get there instead of worrying about it now. Can always bring out the elbow grease and fix the problem myself. Get it. You couldn't be happier with it when you finally get into the groove.

Again, excited that I reached 1000 posts and finally have the Crackberry Master under my name woot woooot!

I can really go on forever. With every product you buy, there will be people having issues and complaining. Of course BlackBerry isn't perfect, but so are other companies.

As for the double type issue, my Q10 had been produced at launch in May 2013, but I bought it new in March 2014. The keyboard feels fine and I recommend it. No double type issue to speak of from me.

Skstrials makes an excellent point. There can be issues with any device. Jump in and forget about it. If you come across the issues it's not the end of the world. There's always replacing or fixing the problem yourself. Then again, you most likely won't ever have the issue at all!

I wouldn't even factor the "double-typing" into my decision. Odds are you'll never have the problem.

Decide based on merits and cost.
