They told me blackberry closed and the prices of blackberry are down and i couldnt cell my bold 4 (bold 9900) for 60 $ .... nevermind .. but my question is : blackberry is closing?
Nobody knows BlackBerry's schedule for new releases. Chen said they are going back to enterprise and getting out of the consumer space. But BlackBerry definitely is NOT closing.

That's a slight misquote. He stated that the main focus will be enterprise. They just hired a new person to head up the device development division.
Unfortunately In the mind of all other than crackheads, blackberry is either past it's prime or dead

You mean in the minds of everyone who only cares about what is cool? And no, not saying all Android and iphone users are like that. But the smart Android and iphone users would recognize that they need a third company to compete with them so it won't remain a duopoly since that's almost as bad as a monopoly in terms of driving competition and innovation. Those who would like to see BB die are suffering from short-sightedness and being a fanboy to a brand... I would love to see all three platforms, heck, 4 if you want to count that terrible OS called Windows Phone, to succeed. No better motivation for innovation than healthy competition.

For all intents and purposes, Blackberry has all but closed its doors in the USA. Is BB out of business? No. They are just selling to a different market as they failed to be competitive in their original market place.
The company is on life support with its obituary already written by the press in the USA who all are beholden to their apple stock. I personally wouldn't write the company off just yet, but it's close.

I sold my 9900 right after getting the Q10 for AT&T and got $218 for it. Which is funny since I paid $200 back when it first came out (with contract)

BlackBerry is not closing. I don't know many people who use BlackBerry 10 my friends they use Android(Samsung)and iPhone. They're all surprised that there is a new BlackBerry phone. When I went to a store to buy my Q10 I was lucky enough that the lady selling uses a Z10 so she was kind enough to teach me some things about the bb10. But the other sales people they just push me to Android and iphone. Nobody pushes for the blackberry. What a sad thing!
