It's just annoying. When the Classic comes out, disabling the touch screen might be an option. But right now I'm constantly dialing, opening apps, and hitting things I don't want to hit.

    Anyone else have this????????????????????

When you put the phone on your pocket, put it with the screen not facing your leg. Maybe that's your issue.

Had this issue on the Z30 but not on my Q10. That is the reason why I'm back with my Q, and loving it!

If you can't get the habit to turn the screen off... buy a case that covers the screen.

Not just turn off the screen, enable autolock and set it to lock in a few minutes. Some apps will wake your screen and if its not locked it'll do crazy stuff.

I've been hitting the Power button on top to lock my phone for years, since even back when the Power button was the red End Call button.

My mom has had a 9780 and now a Q10, yet she still doesn't do it, despite countless accidental calls being made. Locking my phone is just second nature to me.

Turn off the 'swipe to wake' option and set the auto lock on the quickest time to lock. That might save you some trouble.

I agree with d987654321 -- I want to TOTALLY DISABLE the touch screen, FOREVER. It's not just **** dials while in my pocket, it's all the weird things that happen when I pick the phone up off my desk, brush my cheek while on the phone, try to scroll the screen and accidentally touch a hot link, try to scroll and instead get some kind of "swipe from edge..," etc etc

When I'm working, I want to keep my attention on my work. I do not want to put any attention on the phone and all the random behaviors that occur because my dexterity is apparently a bit below the norm. Any kind of randomness or unpredictability is the difference between something I want to use and something I simply won't.

I want phone, email, text, calendar, contacts, and a simple browser. I want 100% reliability and predictability for those five functions. There is *nothing* that can be added anywhere that can possibly make up for even a small loss on those five. A touch screen is a total loser for me.

How do I lose the touch screen?

I am even willing to consider using a solvent to remove the touch screen off the surface, if it will leave a usably smooth surface underneath. I am really serious about how much I hate touch screens.

Uh, what? Touchscreens don't have some coating that makes them work. It can't be taken off with a solvent. If you decide to try this, please record on video.

Most of my Q10 accidental clicks end up being harmless, but there are time I'm really nervous using the touchscreen (e.g. sending emails to my entire committee & trying not to click send while editing email & selecting attachments). Prob gonna get Classic b/c I'm really missing the precision of the 9790 but want to keep 10.3.1 & whatever is next.

Never has been an issue with me, lol. But with people unable to answer and reject calls, being overburdened with using the standard Hub gesture to launch the Hub and being confused with the disappearance of the Active Frame homescreen when there are in fact no Active Frames running at all, things stopped to surprise me about people having problems with using BB10.

Absolutely agree! Surely the good folks at BlackBerry must see this as an annoyance too. Enough already - fix it.

You might enjoy a flip phone better.

*whispers* almost all smartphones are touchscreen now, some even cover the entire phone face!

This is an issue that can be solved for less then 20 bucks and a Google search.
