I can't seem to find an option in Link to back up just my contacts, calendar, notes, etc... I don't want to back up my pics, videos, songs...

Any help would be appreciated.

are you syncing your contacts and calendar with an email account already?

but with link the data would be included in application data I belive.

Yes. I think I am. I have a Yahoo account for both. I guess I am just used to Desktop Software that would let me choose what I wanted to back up.

Guys, sorry for hijacking the thread, but I didn't wanna start a new thread to ask. Since there is no BB protect feature to back up local calendar entries, I am thinking of using either outlook.com (hotmail) or google calendar. Which one is better and has less issues? I would not want sync and back up issues. Please help. Thanks.

I can't speak to Hotmail (don't use anymore), but I've had good success with GMAIL being my default for calendar and contacts. Keeps things synced nicely across my PlayBook, Z10, iPhone, iPod, Mac and iPad.
