Hit the square on the bottom left and you will see the tabs you have open. To the right of each tab name is an X to close it.

You don't have these on each tab?

Is there a way to set that each link you click on in an active Window will open a new tab behind the current one? So far, I haven't been able to set that option or its not as easy to do as it was on my os7.

Do you mean to open a new tab instead of leaving the original page for the linked one? If so, just press and hold the link and the slide out menu on the right will give the option to do so.

Yeah, that is what I mean, I jst was wondering it you could set it up to automatically do that, vs the press and hold and select option.

In settings, it appears like it is configured to do that by default.

Difference is, is that some links don't open up a new tab, but redirect to a new page. Same as on a desktop browser. At least that's how I understood the question. Although, your answer seems to be more precise to the question. Lol.

Cjc and Ven, I have that X but when I hit it, it just goes back to the tabs page. :(
Don't know what to tell you. It closes the page for me.

It's very finicky. I wish they'd move the X to the left side. If you don't hit it just right it will go back to that tab. I've literally don't it 6 times in a row in an attempt to close the tab. So annoying!
Odd. I've never had any issues with it

Try adjusting how you tap on the X. If you type with your middle of yr thumbs but tapping the X to close tabs using the side of thumb it may give a different response. Annoying indeed. There is a heat sensor behind the screen for accuracy. I've found lately whilst I type I'm hitting the "." vs the space bar because I've been angling my thumb a lot mire lately so it's trying to adjust.
Example.is.my.texts.are.looking.like.this. Very annoying.

This disappoints me. Basic interface is what
This disappoints me. I use the term "screen fight" when I am switching back and forth from a webpage to the tab list trying to tap the "X" but instead end up (inadvertently) selecting the tab.
So far, switching from Android back to Blackberry (last was the 8330 Curve) has not reduced the amount of screen fight I experience. Some of that is definitely attributed to a new OS, learning gestures, etc. But in the case of the browser, it's all about the interface and small screen.
I started typing this response on the phone. First I inadvertently posted while working on the first sentence. Second attempt resulted in several paragraphs with misspelled words everywhere. Auto-correct is on! Swiftkey corrects words when I tap half of the characters in the wrong position of the screen. I'm amazed to see that on Android with Swiftkey I can type much more accurately than on the Q10. HOWEVER...
I still do make errors with Android/Swiftkey. There is no keyboard on Android so when I want to "arrow" my cursor to a specific location, well, I can't do that. I need to tap on the screen, re-tap, re-tap and go ten rounds of screen fight just to get the cursor where I want it to go. Even if I make 10x more errors with the Q10, having a keyboard to move the cursor where my errors are will make the experience better (faster, less frustration)... On day 2 of Q10 use I learned the harsh reality that there is no way to use the keyboard to arrow. Not one space to the left/right. Not one line up/down. Certainly not a word to the left/right or to the start/end of a sentence. What the heck?
