I have been back and forth between Android phones and the Q10 more than is normal for a person and the main thing bringing me back every time is of course the keyboard. So this go round I have been using snap and finding the whole experience with the q10 a bit better. But! Why is it that there is no back button on the keypad like the delete key for instance. When I am in an app I should not have to drop the bar down to see that super large ribbon pop up on the bottom of the screen just to press the back arrow. I also noticed while writing this that selecting a place in text requires you hold your finger over that very text hence blocking your view. They should have made it so you can hold your finger over any part of the screen and select. Anyway... if you know of a solution hollar at me.

Clicking next to the letters in error seems like the easiest way to correct a typing mistake to me.

You don't need a back button!

    First, hide the back bar.

Second, to "go back" swipe up from the middle of the bottom bezel at a 45deg angle to the left. Voila!

It should work on Web pages, if you are seeing your open apps you probably swiped up. As mentioned in the other post, this is a swipe back at a 45 degree angle.

Swiping diagonally to the right from the bottom is the alternative back button in android apps. If you want to select a space in text, just tap the word then a magnifying glass will appear. Pressing the left/right/top/down will move it. you can also see a 3 line bar beneath the magnifying glass, you can drag it to where you want to edit your text.

Always hide the bottom bar for Android apps on BlackBerry 10. Slide down from the top, choose 'hide bar'.

For selecting text bring up the circle. Make sure it's in the right place then hold the shift key and then tap and hold your finger anywhere on the screen and then move in the direction of text you want to highlight.

This video may bee helpful. The last part is what I was talking about.

I've never ever gotten that to work, even though when you hide the bottom bar on Android apps it states it. Could you elaborate very clearly how to get that function working properly?

How effective are you?? By doing the gesture, I always bring up the active frame window... I always let the bottom bar visible (with the back arrow)

Works 99% of the time for me. And make sure there is actually a previous page! If you do this gesture on the main page of an Android app it will minimize/close like it should.
Try following the gesture line like this, don't move up to far:

Agree with @MrGlenn... works for me nearly every time, provided that there's a previous page to go back to. Also, do it slowly. The angle, but also the speed matters I've found. Too quickly and you'll exit the app

It takes some practice. Also there may be a slight delay if the android app is slow.

I tend to start by the i on my Q10 and swipe all the way to the left and up just a 1/4 of the screen or so.
