What makes images look so cool and have these effects? Is that a phone camera or what kind of camera does this.....

Bokeh effect. It's not about camera or phone. It's about techniques. I remember reading how to do this but forgot already. Only camera with auto focus can do this kind of effect.

It is a depth of field effect. Auto focus is not required but the ability to alter the arperature setting is helpful. The Q10 and Z10 have fixed arperature so it is not that easy to do. You would have to position yourself a the correct distance from the subject and background so the subject is in the depth of field but the background is out. The image in the linked article was taken by a DSLR camera. If you compare the optics of my DA-C (a pre-production Q10) with the DSLR lense I use to take portrates and use depth of field, you can see that the smart phone is totally out classed.

See this thread for some pictures some one was able to take with the Z10. The trick is to have the subject quite close and the background much further away. But if you can change the arpurature then you can do this without the same distance constraints.

And to move the focus, just move the four brackets in the camera view. Can be pretty

Just physics, or if you prefer optics.

You have 2 options for that photo.

You take a picture similar angle to that car and put your focus on the logo in front or the floor in front.

Another option is to download a photo editor in BlackBerry World that can help you edit that photo and add filter.

For the kind of color effect of that picture. You'll have to use a filter. You can go to Pictures and click edit you'll be presented with a few filters right from your Q10.
