Hi all, sorry if this was asked - just wanted to find out if it's even possible to restore my Z10 data (which I've already
backed up to my computer via LINK) on my new Q10. I've tried but it appears that the restore button has been greyed out
when I plugged in my Q10. It would be very tedious for me to set things up manually on the Q10, HELP!

    hi!

i would just use the "switch device" functionality, that's what i used when i switched from Z10 to Q10. It transfers all settings and apps from the "old" device, to the new one.

I've done Q10 to Q10 this way - works fine.

HOWEVER the OS on the 2nd device must be same or higher than on the 1st one.

Also note the procedure in Link, to set email accounts up first. Also make sure you know your BlackBerry ID password.

Was just about to ask the same question. Thanks for the tips.

I have the latest leaked Z10 OS so I'm guessing I won't be able to use Link :/

As long as both has the same OS/software version, there's no issue with using Link. Cheers!

I downloaded the .1880 leak and it's been awesome! Battery life's excellent! Kinda missed the Z10's screen size tho...

Help, I'm trying to recover data from a Z10 with hardware failure (five flashing red LEDs), my back up was done on BlackBerry Link, I'm trying to transfer those files to my replacement Z10 can't do it. Also the above options are not available because my first device had fatal hardware failure. Would have been easy on my Torch 9800 I could swap restore from my back up files but on the Z10 and Link, the replacement device is not visible. I'm using the latest Link software 1.2.0.28 downloaded today. Registered my replacement Z10 with my BB ID and did the same and signed in on Link with my BB ID. I'm not used to the new Link layout, I don't see the options to restore. My General options on BB Link points to the correct folders for my BB back up files.

BlackBerry Device Manager is also not detecting my Z10. Any ideas?
