On Saturday, my Q10 just stopped working. Screen didn't come on. Took battery in and out, nothing. so then took battery out for 18 hours to get rid of residual power, nothing.

during that time, If i pressed on button, i would get red light illuminated, or keys illuminated, but they didn't last for long

I decided to connect my phone to link on Monday, and it recognised my phone. So after it synced, i thought i would reset factory setting and hopefully it would correct a corrupted file in the OS or something.

The wiping data took 30 minutes. Good.

But now it says it is 'restoring data to my device. Do not disconnect device'
and it says its waiting for device to restart.

but nothing seems to be happening and its been 2.5 hours since the wiping data. Should i keep waiting?

Just wait. This can be a time consuming operation so have patience. Basically, if your phone is still dead after this, you've got a hardware fault and will have to replace the handset. Don't disconnect before it's finished it's thing though.
